It’s Over

All right, it’s time for Hillary to sit down and shut up.

"My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California."

        - Hillary Clinton, 05/23/2008

So let me get this straight, she’s hoping that Obama gets shot so that she can steal the nomination that is so clearly out of her reach at this point??

The Rest of the Story

So the rest of the photos from the trip are now posted to my flickr account after many tedious hours of careful editing (thanks to The Gimp) to remove the dots/speckles that the dust left on all of my desert photos. That was quite the trip, 1,980 miles total. Lots of weird stuff in Nevada, drove through a few dust storms, I cracked a tooth, went to Nellis AFB and accidentally Edwards AFB the next day (wrong turn, or rather, lack of turn) and many other adventures along the way. I’m glad I finally made it to northern Death Valley and the Racetrack, quite a wondrous place to visit. All the small Nevada towns were neat, especially the uninhabited ones. I can’t wait until next year to see where the next Coachella roadtrip takes me.

Coachella

I’m back from the Coachella/Mexico Border/Nevada/Death Valley run. So far I’ve only gone through my Coachella pictures. The Nevada/DV photos got messed up do to dust in my lens but I am going to try and salvage them. I’ll post them soon hopefully. For now, view the Coachella photos on my flickr account.

Time for the Journey

Getting ready to go campingIt’s time for the annual cleansing in the California and Nevada deserts. I will be leaving for Coachella late Tuesday or early Wednesday and will camp on site for the three day festival. After the music stops, I will head down to the California/Mexico border and take the 8 to the 95 up through Nevada, stopping by Vegas and continuing North past the wildlife refuge, with a stop at Devil’s Hole. Then over to Goldfield, NV and back into northern Death Valley.

See you all on the other side.
