  1. Had a feeling I’d find this this morning. Poor doggie has had a rough night. – Was this Bob going with cosmic forces?

WOW! Look at these – they are fantastic shots! Look at the breadth of the bolts – they are massive! Where is the water shot taken – bolts broken though the clouds (1a)?

And you stayed inside the car to be safe, RIGHT?

    Catch ya later, Mom

  2. Hah, I thought it was coincidental with the storm and Bob passing too.

The water shot was off the end of the Pismo pier. Most of the rest were taken from the middle of Tank Farm Road. Tomak and I were hanging out downtown (he’s moving to Seattle next week) when we decided to chase the storm. We ended up driving all over but when we were on Tank Farm, we were literally in the center of the lightning. It came so quick, the first big rip of thunder scared the wits out of me and made me jump. :P At that point I got back into the car and took pictures from there. The thunder was less than a second after the lightning. I forget how you calculate distance from that delay but I know that means it was close. It was really intense. I’ve never experienced so much lightning, so close before.
