Ewwww, it’s shiny!
My parents just got a nice little Gaggia single-group espresso machine off of ebay. It’s nice because it’s self contained (meaning you don’t need to hook it up to plumbing) and yet, it’s not the typical crappy home espresso machine. It uses a full size portafilter (52mm) and the only complaint I have is that the pressure seems a bit low. I pulled many shots during out Thanksgiving dinner but didn’t truly get to test it since all we had was a weed-whacker grinder and a terrible plastic tamper that was many sizes too small to fit the basket properly. I purchased this one downtown as a Christmas gift for them.
My dad got really into it which I thought was funny and I showed him some of the basics of pulling good espresso.
I’ll probably get some Black Cat for them too.
